You may wonder, as you learn more about what it is that we do, why is it that we don’t practice more of what we preach? We talk about social networking, press release distribution, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, YouTube, Facebook advertising…and on and on and on.  However, we (Lawton Gallagher) don’t actually participate in most of it for our own company and brand.  Are we crazy?  What are we thinking?

The reason is twofold really:

First is quite simple. We keep busy and we stay focused on our clients and their particular marketing and business objectives.

Second, we actually are practicing what we preach, which is being focused and using the tools and channels that best fit our marketing goals.  It’s extremely easy to be drawn to all the flashy new icons and networking opportunities and latest Google this or Web 3.0 that.  But at the end of the day what’s most important is doing what’s best for your business, your customers and your employees.  We are not saying that is doesn’t make sense to be an early adapter and to utilize a variety of marketing channels.  What we are suggesting is to focus on the ones that you want to be the best at and that make the most sense for your business.  This is where we can help.  Quite frankly this is what we are good at and enjoy doing.

As for us, we have decided that blogging makes the most sense.  It allows customers and potential customers to get a good feel for our philosophies, our experience and our work.  This blog enables us to share insights and real world business and marketing stories, struggles and successes.

So no, you can’t find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.  There are already too many “experts” using those channels.  And yes, there are plenty of “experts” out there blogging as well.  We just happen to feel this is the tool that makes the most sense presently for us.

Please feel free to peruse our posts, or contact us with any questions.  Yes, we answer the phone when it rings and you can talk to a live human being.  No need to text or tweet or post or IM or beep us (okay, maybe the beeper went a little too far).  Give a call or send an email.  Simple as that.
